69 Times in Israel on the 69th Anniversary of the State

Why would someone go to Israel 69 times?

Jan Goldstein, Director of North American Tours for Amiel and Partnership2Gether US Central Area Consortium Director, began leading groups to Israel in 1992 while working at the Jewish Federation of Omaha. Her latest trip marked the 69th time she has made the journeycoinciding with the 69th year of the founding of the State of Israel.

Here's 4 Reasons She Loves Israel and Keeps on Returning:

  1. The History:
"To stand on the ground and feel 5,000 years of history beneath my feet! Outside the cities when you walk around looking at the ground, you easily find small pottery pieces—called “shards”—tangible proof of the people and cultures of the past. The concentration of archaeology and artifacts is overwhelming and the beauty of these monuments to previous generations takes your breath away!"

  2. The Contrast:
"The country full of antiquities of civilization’s gone and the glory of Three World Religions contrasted with Israel as the 'Start Up Nation' of TODAY! Israel today, next to America and China is the leading high-tech country of the modern world."

  3. The People:
"The spirit and strength of the Israeli people. Everyday they face huge financial and existential challenges. But when you meet the average Israeli, their conversations are generally upbeat, strong, and determined to appreciate the beauty of the land, the arts that saturate the land and the personal investment that they make daily in their children."

  4. The Culture:
    "
The amazing blending of ethnic people, religions and heritages and all the beauty that they create. Israel is full of colors—from markets and bazaars, to food, fashion, design, fine art, performing arts to both new and old sites—all of which culminates to create a rich and beautiful tapestry you cannot find anywhere else."

Jan leads both groups and individual tours, always taking the time to personally meet with guides, tour managers, visit hotels, dining venues, and the newest sites—continually keeping up-to-date tour information to share with clients. She loves to share her passion for Israel, don't hesitate to reach out to her about your next trip!
