Kfar Hanokdim

Tucked away in the Kana`im Valley in the Judean desert, between the city of Arad and the ancient citadel of Masada, there is a green oasis: Kfar Hanokdim.  The picturesque desert resort features goat hair Bedouin style tents, spacious lodges made of local stone and many relaxing spots to unwind among palm trees and captivating nature. Ever since its establishment in 1991, Kfar Hanokdim has provided high-level personalized hospitality that allows each and every guest to experience the desert in a special and memorable way.

The Kfar is an idyllic place for a desert vacation or for celebrating an unforgettable event in the heart of the wilderness of the Judean Desert. 


The Desert Daughter Farm

A cross between heritage and desert enchantment, The Desert Daughter Farm is an authentic Bedouin farm, in Tel Sheva.

The farm invites its guests to rest in the shade of the mysterious desert and the medicinal herbs grown there. Visitors will enjoy a unique visit including educational instruction and an inside view of how Desert Daughter health products and cosmetics are produced. All products are based on Bedouin family traditions dating back over 400 years. The products are made of natural organic ingredients and are available at the store on the site. 

Lectures and workshops are given at the farm in Hebrew, English and Arabic on various subjects: unique qualities of medicinal herbs, unique qualities of camel’s milk, desert beauty – natural cosmetics, and the status of Bedouin women. Interactive workshops are also offered such as preparing natural medicinal creams from desert herbs, making remedies for different ailments, Bedouin coffee-making ceremonies, pitta baking, ecological building, etc.


Negev Highland Trail

The Har HaNegev trail encompasses nature, culture, and history in the stunningly wild setting of the Negev Desert. Built on ancient and contemporary paths, the trail comprises both old and new. It visits a variety of fantastic ruins and impressive natural sites, as well as diverse, modern towns and communities.

As you wander through the imposing landscape you are sure to meet Bedouins, religious Jews, academics, spiritualists and other travelers. This incredible human mosaic makes Har HaNegev’s cultural geography very distinctive and particularly colorful. The trail offers a unique experience, fit for anyone ready to be inspired by the wonder of the desert.
