Hike Israel with Your Friends

It's always been said that the best way to truly get to know a place is to walk it. What about hike it? We've got some amazing options for you, your family and friends to put your feet on the ground while seeing, hearing, smelling, and tasting the essence of Israel's beauty. 

  • Wadi Kelah Trail located Inside the forested slopes of the Carmel Mountains, this trail receives five star ratings. 
  • If you're in the Galilee, try hiking around Mount Arbel, the peak is 380 meters above the surrounding area and dominates. There is a lookout atop the mountain and you can see almost all of the Galilee and Golan Heights including Safed, Tiberias and most of the Kineret (Sea of Galilee. 
  • In the Golan Heights, visit Wadi Jilabun, a pristine nature reserve and stream which hosts the Jilabun Falls where you can take a quick dip to cool off. 
  • To see the largest waterfall in Israel, hike along a beautiful nature trial that leads you to Gamla Falls then continue to Vulture's Lookout. You can continue on to the ancient city of Gamla on a steep ridge that rises to a height of 330 meters above the surrounding terrain. 
  • A hike on Mount Meron, the tallest mountain in the Galilee, will allow you to see the beauty and mesmerizing green of the Galilee and at the bottom of the mountain lies the ancient grave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the author of the Kabbalistic book the Zohar.  
  • Visit Enot Tsukim or Ein Fashkha as it is known (Fashkha means split or broken) the lowest nature reserve in the world and one of the most beautiful in Israel. The 500-dunam central section contains wading and swimming pools filled by natural spring water. The reserve also contains an archaeological site from the Second Temple period.
